The IIBA Sacramento Valley Chapter is proud to present its new Board of Directors as a result of the October 2016
elections. Please join us in welcoming all members. We look forward to their contributions for our entire Business
Analyst community.
Tami Tactacan. President

Tami Tactacan is a Business Solutions Analyst at K-LOVE and Air1 Radio Networks. She was the 2016 VP of
Education & Certification for the IIBA Sacramento Chapter, which helped her and some of her study group
participants pass the CBAP exam.
Tami has over 25 years of experience as a Business Analyst, a majority of which she was a consultant for the State
of California. Her vast experience includes all of the BABOK knowledge areas with specialties in Requirements Elicitation,
Requirements Management and Communication, Business Process Improvement and Business Process Reengineering.
Tami loves to relate with other analysts and feels that her experience and personality is a great fit as the 2017 President for the IIBA
Sacramento Chapter.
Yao Saechao, VP Marketing & Sponsorship

Yao Saechao is a Sr. Technical Recruiter at Experis IT in Rancho Cordova, CA. He received his undergraduate degree
in Community Regional Development at University California of Davis. He has an impressive background having
over 9 years of IT recruiting experience; delivering top tier talent in the Sacramento Region as well as
client/consultant relationship development.
Yao is also actively involved with Sacramento Java User Group and currently IIBA’s VP of Marketing.
Yao enjoys all type of sports and an avid outdoorsman. He presently resides in Elk Grove, CA with his beautiful wife and two children.
Bob Guarino, VP Events

Bob Guarino lives in El Dorado Hills and has worked at Blue Shield of California (BSC) for 5 years. Prior to that, he
worked an Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for 26 years. At Anthem, Bob held a wide variety of roles during this
period, starting as a programmer, progressing through various analyst positions and eventually managing an IT
staff. At BSC, Bob lead a team of Business Analysts working on a system replacement effort. Most recently, Bob
is in charge of evaluating the impact of mandates on the BSC products and leading efforts to capture the requirements and
implement the changes.
When he was working with PeopleSoft products, Bob was the chairman of a PeopleSoft Regional Users Group for 10 years.
Bob holds an MBA from the University of New Haven and has his Six Sigma Green Belt test.
Kamal Lemseffer, VP Education & Certification

Kamal Lemseffer is currently a Data Resource Analyst at the University of California at Davis. He has been working
in the field of software development and design for over 30 years. He has experience in the industry sectors of
health insurance, banking, laboratory diagnosis, and education.
Kamal has a Masters in Applied Computer Science from France, a Masters in Software Engineering and MBA from
Sacramento State University. Kamal has earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate and currently working on his
CBAP certification.

Kristina Miller, VP Membership

Kris Miller, CBAP, is Director, Organizational Development and Employment Experience for K-LOVE and Air1 Radio
Networks.
Kris has over a 15 years’ experience as a business analyst and leader across several industry sectors which include
financial services, media and broadcasting. During this time she has performed just about every task as a business analyst; working
from requirements gathering to solution assessment and validation. She has previously lead a team of analysts who shared her
enthusiasm for helping the organization plan for the future through their work in process and analysis. Her current role within
Human Resources is focused on building a leadership development framework. Many of the disciplines from the business analysis
field are incorporated into her current role.
Kris received her CBAP certification in December 2012 and has a bachelor’s degree in International Business from San Jose State
University. Kris believes that being an effective communicator and leader is the KEY to being a great business analyst, which is why
she is volunteering on the board of a local Toastmasters club that has received awards in excellence. Kris is currently working as a
Business Analysis on-line course instructor thru the UC Davis Extension program. Kris has also previously served on the IIBA
Sacrament Valley Chapter board as VP of Education.
Misty Newell, Treasurer

Misty Newell is the Sacramento IIBA treasurer. She has a degree in International Business and has worked mostly in
the financial services industry or related roles (in manufacturing, banking, healthcare and education industries).
Her current role is as an IT Consultant with Experis IT. She enjoys her work and is fortunate to be among some very
talented folks.
On a more personal side, Misty has lived and worked in the Sacramento area for the last 25 years and has a son who is currently in
the military. Misty enjoys a variety of activities; skiing (is nationally certified professional ski instructor), traveling, horseback riding
hiking, bicycling, camping, backpacking, etc.
Uma Karthikeyan, Secretary

Uma Karthikeyan is an analyst at Inspire Logic. She started her career as a college lecturer in an engineering
college and went on to work at Aerojet. She has a degree in Masters of Applied Science and is currently pursuing a
Certificate program in Business Analysis at the UC Davis Extension.
Uma lives in Folsom with her husband and two sons. In her spare time, she loves to do yoga and volunteer at
community events.
Turab Saleh Fatakdawala, Webmaster/Technology - Volunteer

Turab is a senior product manager with PowerSchool. He has been volunteering for the IIBA as the Webmaster and
handling the Technology for the past few years.
He is an Engineer and MBA, and loves the Education industry where all his work experience lies.
He actively supports Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scout Master and regularly donates with BloodSource.
