Please Note: Any scholarships awarded can potentially affect a student’s loan or work-study eligibility; therefore, churches must submit
the application and check to the financial aid office no later than May 1st so students can be notified of any changes in their award
eligibility on their June billing statement. The check for both semesters must be sent by May 1st unless the student is only attending
NCU in the spring semester, in which case the check must be sent by November 1st. Any checks received after the deadline will still be
matched if there are funds left in the matching fund account. If matching funds have been depleted the student will not receive any
matching funds from NCU but the church contribution will still be credited to the student’s account as a church scholarship.
NOTE: Students who enroll for the fall semester will receive a statement by early June. Please have funds to NCU as early as possible
so we can include the Church Match Scholarship on their statement. Thank you!

HOW TO APPLY:

Church must complete this Church Match Scholarship Application and send the check with the application by May 1 (Fall
entrants) or November 1 (Spring entrants only).

Checks should be made payable to “North Central University/Church Match” with a notation naming the student who is to
receive the scholarship.
CONDITIONS:

Students must enroll for and maintain full-time status (12 credits) in the resident degree program or the match will be forfeited
for that semester and that semester’s portion of the church check will be counted only as a church scholarship.

Funds must not come from the student, parents or relatives or from the monthly pledge the church has designated to NCU.

Checks must be received by North Central by the deadline date in order to qualify for the NCU matching portion. The check
sent by May 1 must be for both semesters.

A cumulative GPA of 2.0 must be maintained by the student to be eligible for the NCU matching portion.

The NCU match portion is applied to tuition costs only.

The NCU match portion cannot exceed $500 in one semester.

The church check and NCU’s matching scholarship are divided equally between the fall and spring semesters.
