What is Walk for Kids?
Walk for Kids raises funds and awareness for the services and programs provided by Ronald McDonald House
Charities® Oklahoma City. Walkers enjoy a morning of fun, food, entertainment, and togetherness.
RMHC-OKC provides a ‘home away from home’ for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving medical
treatment in the Oklahoma City area. In 2016, 1,027 families stayed at our two Houses with an average night stay of
7 nights and 10,536 guests found a place to rest and regroup during the day in our Family Room at The Children’s
Hospital.
Although it costs $75 to house a family each night, our programs are offered at no cost.
We rely on the local community to help keep our doors open and support families when they need it
the most. With your help, we can keep families close.
Will YOU be a Team Captain?
Team Captains are crucial for our Walk for Kids event. We expect to raise $50,000 through team donations and we
can’t do it alone. Team Captains will be invited to a special meeting to kick-off the event and teams that raise
$1,050 (2 week stay for families in need) or more will be listed on the official Walk for Kids t-shirt!
