Family or Group Team Captain Instruction Guide The Especially for You® Race Against Breast Cancer used a new and improved system last year to help participants register. This year, since we are requiring every participant register online, this document will help serve as a guide to help set up your team along with the registration process. Signing up Step 1. Creating Your Team Go to http://www.especiallyforyourace.org/efy/. This is the Especially for You® Race Against Breast Cancer website where you will be able to create and manage your team (change t-shirt size, switch race categories, etc.), as well as where your individual team members will go to register under your team. Under the ‘register’ tab please choose which group you are creating: ‘Family or Group Team.’ This would be a group of family &/or friends, church organizations, Girl or Boy Scout Troops, etc… This would be a business that’s paying for a portion or all of the employee’s registration. Step 2. After clicking on which team you’re creating (Family or Group Team), click the blue tab that says ‘Register & Create Family/Group Team Sign Up.’ Click ‘Group/Family Registration’ Scroll all the way down to the very bottom of the page & click ‘Register & Create Family/Group Team Sign Up’ Put in your information or sign into RunSignUp (Basic Info) or Sign In if you have an account (and your information from last year should already be in the system) o Update User Information if you have moved or got a new phone number Select your event o 5k run o 5k walk o Family Fun Walk – 1 mile Click the yellow box that says “Family/Group Team Sign Up” Step 3. Setup Basic Team Options Click the right hand rectangular grey box that says “Create New Family/Group Team Sign Up” Team Type – Use the drop down to select what kind of team you’re creating (Family Team). Team Name – Make this something easy to understand and remember so your family or group will be able to recognize it among the many teams listed. Click Continue Check the box after you’ve read the waiver Click Continue Fill out the questions for yourself o T-Shirt size o Would you like a survivor scarf? Would you like a walkers bib? This is the bib that has a number on it along with your name o Did you intend to join a team? You’d mark “yes” since you just created a team Click Continue Fundraising Page Pancake Breakfast Make sure that everything is correct, then put in your credit card info Click Confirm Payment o Team Page To manage your team, click on the blue box that says ‘Manage Family / Org. Team’ Hover over your team name by ‘Group / Team’ Click your team name Here is the spot that will allow you to do the following: Edit Team – Allows you to edit your initial options and to add some more. Logo – You can upload your family team logo to the website. Click “Social Settings”& then browse. Your image file needs to be in jpeg, png, or gif. View Members – This will show you who has joined your team and their status. Join – Click the box that says “Send Email” (under Join & Share) and you can send that registration URL to all of your team members. Add & Change Captains – You can share the Captain responsibilities with others - they will then be able to see this same Team Set-up page. If you notice someone on your team has incorrect information, only they can change it for security and privacy purposes. They can simply log back in where they registered and modify their Profile to update information. Removing a member will remove them from the race, and fees they may have paid will not be refunded.
