Mixed Use
The design of mixed use schemes has become an
increasingly large component of our commission base
over the past number of years.
The combination of different building uses in close
proximity reflects changing attitudes towards city planning
and a new appreciation of urban and environmental
issues, while also affording the opportunity to spread
commercial risk.
We have developed proposals of varying size, which
explore differing arrangements of built form and with
various combinations of building use.
Notable projects include a landmark thirteen storey tower
in Belfast, ‘The Boat’, which combines residential, office,
retail and restaurant space and Provident Financial’s
headquarter offices linked to a Jury’s hotel in Bradford.
Other projects in design development include proposals
for major brownfield sites in Leeds, Lisburn, Londonderry
and most recently in London, where we are working with a
Middle Eastern client on a new multi-storey development
on the Edgware Road.
