Fun filled day of family activities! Black Powder This one day event is your chance to give away
demonstrations, live entertainment, games of chance, unwanted household items and reuse treasures
raffle prizes, bake sale, and a BBQ. For extra fun from your neighbourhood. Place unwanted

Cowboy Dinner and Dance
Come on down to a homemade dinner and enjoy
some fantastic tunes from the one and only Merv
Tremblay Band. Merv is a multi-talented performer
with powerful vocals and strong rhythm and lead
guitar, also proficient with the steel guitar. Dancing
will follow dinner.

Manning Park Bird Blitz
Join Hope Mountain Centre for one of BC’s longest
running bird count weekends. Birders are helping to
build a database that now spans over 30 years,
giving biologists a better picture of the park’s
changing species. Suitable for novice or expert
birders.

Saturday, June 20 – Sunday, June 21
Bobbing Barrel Race
Sponsor a barrel or just show up and enjoy the
festivities! Categories include Crowd Pleaser, Best
Dressed, and Most and Least Likely to Succeed. The
race begins at Hell’s Gate and ends at Yale where it
will be followed by a BBQ. Judging is on Saturday,
race is on Sunday.

Bike Park Grand Opening
Celebrate the grand opening of Hope’s own Bike
Park! This will be the biggest bike park in the lower
mainland, designed and constructed by Jay Hoots,
with a lot of help of local volunteers and
businesses. There will be riding demos, a family
BBQ, and FUN!

Father’s Day Golf Tournament
The format is a 2 person best ball with callaway
scoring, no handicap is required. Any 2 people can
enter the tournament. It is a shotgun start at 1:30pm
and the signup is in the pro shop.

Hope Film Club - Star Wars
Watch this epic Star Wars (Episode IV: A New
Hope) film on the big screen. This 1977 classic film
was directed by George Lucas and has an all-star
cast including Harrison Ford and Chewbacca!
