You will need the following:
Internet access
User name and password for GoArmyEd
Prerequisite: You should have completed the Soldier Quick Start Training course.
Business Policies
Holds are used to enforce Army Regulation (AR) 625-1 rules that govern the use of
Tuition Assistance (TA). During the time a hold is applied to your GoArmyEd account,
you cannot request or use TA. Notification is sent to your preferred email account
when a hold has been applied to your account and when a hold has been successfully
resolved.



Holds placed on your account prevent you from enrolling in future TA-funded
classes through GoArmyEd. They do not prevent you from completing classes
in which you already have enrolled through GoArmyEd.
Holds are designed to uniformly enforce Army regulations governing the use of
TA across the Army.
Holds are lifted automatically after the issue that caused the hold is fully
resolved. Common holds and their resolutions include:
o No grade received within 45 days after class end date
 Hold is lifted after grade is posted
o Received F, W, or unresolved Incomplete (I) grade
 Hold is lifted after recoupment is initiated
o No Annual TA Statement of Understanding (SOU)
 Submit the electronic TA SOU
