MEDIA RELEASE Friday 18 November 2016 We’ve got the Kids Summer holidays are covered this January Looking for the perfect way to entertain your children during the January break? Look no further than the Culture Kids Summer program at The Arts Centre Gold Coast! Running between January 9 and 22, Culture Kids offers a range of workshops, shows, free performances and activities the whole family can enjoy. Plan an entire day out with a variety of options for mornings, lunchtime and afternoons for children aged between 5 to 12 years. You can even take the hassle out of meal times by preordering a kid friendly lunch box for your little one to enjoy. The workshop program offers a variety of lessons across all aspects of the performing arts. Vocal workshops provide little ones with the opportunity to sing their hearts out with Rob Mills, fine tune their ballet skills with a workshop with the state’s premiere dance company, Queensland Ballet, or even learn to read music the easy way with the Copy, Play, Learn Guitar sessions and many more. Quality stage shows compliment the offer with Play School favourite Justine Clarke bringing her band to perform all the songs children know and love with Justine Clarke Sings! The acclaimed Fluff: A Story of Lost Toys combines song, dance, projection and audience participation to create a truly unique musical theatre experience for all ages. Set around the workshop and show schedule is a program of free entertainment and activities including short movie screenings, live music, drama games, Indigenous cultural experiences, make and create workshops and much more.
