The Children's HIV Association of the UK and Ireland Job Title: Responsible to: Location: Days: Salary: Camp Leader Supervisor Participation Officer Support Camp, Hertfordshire, and Training Venue 11 days (breakdown below) TBC F2B is a support camp for 11-16 year old HIV positive children and young people, which runs over 6 days, with the young people attending for 5 of these. 12 Camp Leaders are recruited every year to provide a dual role of mentoring young people, and ensuring the smooth running of all the practical elements of camp. Camp Leaders are young people aged 18 to 24 who are living with HIV. We are recruiting a Supervisor for this group of Camp Leaders. This is an important role, for which we are seeking a committed, enthusiastic person. It can at times become very busy at camp and those working in this role need to be able to remain calm, be well organised, and ask for support when they need it. This post covers the 6 days of attending camp from Monday 1st to Saturday 6th August 2016. In addition attendance at the OCN accredited training course, which Camp Leaders complete from 2nd to the 5th June (venue tbc) will be required. 4 further days are allocated to handover and supervision, and pre camp preparation including meetings pre and post camp.
