Provide computer accounts (called MyUWS accounts) to all UWS students (including SCEM students) Have general access labs of Windows PCs on all campuses Campbelltown - Building 12 Parramatta - Building EA Penrith - Building V School of Computing, Engineering & Mathematics - 2014 Computer Systems Orientation Computer Laboratory Hours of Operation School of Computing, Engineering & Mathematics (SCEM) • Campbelltown • 9am – 6pm Monday – Friday • Parramatta • 8am – 10pm Monday – Friday • Penrith • 9am – 10pm Monday – Friday Information Technology Services (ITS) • At least one lab per campus open 22 hours a day (closed 3am – 5am) School of Computing, Engineering & Mathematics - 2014 Computer Systems Orientation Computer Accounts Your SCEM and ITS computer accounts are different Your SCEM login ID will be (for most people) your first initial plus your surname (e.g. John Smith’s SCEM login ID would probably be jsmith) Your ITS MyUWS login ID is your student ID (e.g. John Smith’s MyUWS login ID might be 12340123). You will need to use your MyUWS login & password to access email and the labs provided by ITS Passwords are different for both accounts: To change your SCEM password, use https://helpdesk.scem.uws.edu.au To change your MyUWS password, use http://myuwsaccount.uws.edu.au School of Computing, Engineering & Mathematics - 2014 Computer Systems Orientation SCEM Computer Account Registration You MUST register for a SCEM computer account to use the School’s computers! As long as you are correctly enrolled in a SCEM course or subject, you can register by going to any general SCEM lab: Campbelltown: 6.G.01, 6.G.19 Parramatta: EB.1.30, EB.1.47, EB.1.48, EB.1.50 Penrith: XA.1.03, XB.1.02, Y.2.27, Y.2.28, Y.2.41, Y.2.42, Z.G.52 and logging in using register as both the username and password. Follow the on-screen prompts IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you register, your SCEM username will be emailed to your MyUWS account.
