Aim of the project
 Energy efficiency continues to be the key factor in limiting the
deployability of Ad-Hoc networks.
 The aim of the project is to propose an algorithm such that
overall energy of the Ad-Hoc network is being optimised and
thereby increasing the lifetime of the network.
AD-HOC NETWORK

An Ad-Hoc network is a self configuring
infrastructure-less network where nodes, connected
by wireless links can move freely and thus topology
of the network changes consistently.

LEAD Algorithm
 Dynamic selection of cluster heads among the set of nodes ,
allocation of rest of the ordinary nodes to cluster heads.
 Selection and allocation is done according to the
current status of the network.
 Maximising the avg life time of the network is the objective
of this algorithm .
WHY LEAD?

From the literature survey, it has been drawn that
* Life time of the network vs no.of nodes , LEAD
outperforms ANDA,LID by 35%
* Cluster head selection is according to the current
residual energy .So, energy is equally drained in the
network
