2017 LITTLE THUNDER BASKETBALL
AT ROCKLIN HIGH SCHOOL
The goal of this league is to introduce boys and girls to the basic offensive and defensive fundamentals of basketball, while also
helping to develop an enthusiasm for the game, good sportsmanship, and a positive attitude. All participants will receive
instruction, games, a t-shirt, and a custom basketball. All games and practices will be on 8-ft. baskets for grades K-3 (girls) and
k-2 (boys) with 10-ft baskets for grades 3-6. (boys) Every Saturday each team will be scheduled for a 60 minute session.
This session will be broken up into a 30 minute practice and a 30 minute game. There are no practices during the week.
The RHS Coaching Staff will organize the practices and the drills will be facilitated by the RHS coaches and players. The
league will be supervised and officiated by the RHS Coaching Staff and the RHS Basketball Players will coach the teams. This
format offers an opportunity to begin building relationships between our high school players/coaches and the young people in
our community. Teams will be made up according to grade level and school. All practices & games will be on
Saturdays at RHS. Over the six weeks, we believe that your child will improve their basketball skills and have a lot of fun. We
hope to see you and your child for a great year of Little Thunder Basketball.
