Entry Fees
The entry fee is £250 per team with 12 competing teams all teams get a minimum of 4.5 games, which is
approximately £5 per player per game with 13 players. This is none refundable except in very
exceptional circumstances to be decided on appeal by the NER Management Board.
Entry Instructions: Please pay by electronic transfer to the North East Region Bank Account and email

General Information
The competition will operate under the ASA Laws of the Game and under the jurisdiction of the ASA
North East Region Management Board who have the power to vary the Championship Conditions prior
to the start of the competition. North East Region Management Board will adjudicate on any dispute or
grievance, their decision shall be final. The Championship Secretary has the authority to adjust the
number of entries accepted to ensure the smooth running of the Championships.
The matches shall be played at deep water venues. The competition is being supported financially by the
ASA North East Region, Yorkshire ASA and N & D ASA.
Maximum entry 12 Men’s Team & 12 Women’s teams, clubs may enter more than one team in each
gender. Additional teams from a club will only be accepted if there are not 12 first teams entered by
individual clubs. If the additional team entry is not accepted the entry fee will be refunded to that club.
Should less than 12 teams enter the draw and venues will be adjusted accordingly.
The championship is three competitions in one - Trophies and Medals will be awarded to the winner
who will be NER Champion, the highest placed N & D Club shall be N & D champion and the highest place
Yorkshire Club shall be Yorkshire Champion. Proposed Dates & Venues - the competition will run from
May to July using venues in both Yorkshire and N & D. The competition is designed for day events to
avoid using full weekends during exam time and avoiding overnight stays.
Registration of players - Age Group - Born 1991 & later
A list of up to 20 players per team may be registered. All players must be first claim members of the
North East registered club they are representing. A list of players to be registered together with their asa
registration numbers must be sent to the organiser by 30 April 2014. The club will be sent a confirmation
email listing all players eligible to compete. No late registrations will be allowed. Teams playing ineligible
player/s will forfeit the match/s, should both teams in a match play an ineligible player the match will be
void.
Clubs can enter A & B teams but players can only be registered to one team. All competing players must
be registered with the club they wish to compete for by 31 March 2014.
Teams will be entitled to two time-outs per match – except at the finals day where a maximum of one
per quarter will be allowed, as in FINA Rule 12. Teams will continue to consist of "seven players, one of
whom shall be the goalkeeper . . . and not more than six reserves that may be used as substitutes."
Proposed Format - The first round will be played in four groups of three teams. Three points for a win,
one for a draw. The first team in each group gets a bye from the first round; the remaining teams play
cross over matches against each other as followsPreliminary Round – 2 x 10 minutes
