The aim of this policy is to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and with respect and that The United Counties Football League is equally accessible to
all.
The United Counties Football Leagues commitment is to promote inclusion and to confront and eliminate discrimination whether by reason of age,
gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status or civil partnership, race, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or faith, disability, pregnancy
and maternity and to encourage equal opportunities.
The United Counties Football League’s commitment is to eliminate discrimination whether by reason of age, disability, gender re-assignment, ethnicity or
race, religion and faith, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, sex and sexual orientation.
The United Counties Football League is also committed to promoting equality by treating people fairly and with respect, by recognising that inequalities
may exist, by taking steps to address them and by providing access and opportunities for all members of the community.
This policy is fully supported by the Board of The United Counties Football League and the Equality Officer is responsible for the implementation of this
policy on a day to day basis.
The United Counties Football League will ensure that it treats people fairly and with respect and that it will provide access and opportunities for all
members of the community to take part in, and enjoy, its activities.
The United Counties Football League will not tolerate any form of harassment, bullying, abuse, or victimisation of a Participant, which for the purposes of
this policy and the actions and sanction applicable is regarded as discrimination, whether physical or verbal or other. The league will work to ensure that
such behaviour is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs.
The United Counties Football League commits itself into the immediate investigation of any allegation, when it is brought to their attention, of
discrimination and where such is found to be the case, The United Counties Football League will require that the practice stop and impose sanctions as
appropriate.
The United Counties Football League is committed to inclusion and anti-discriminatory and raising awareness and educating, investigating concerns and
applying relevant and proportionate sanctions, campaigning, achieving independently verified equality standards, widening diversity and representation
and promoting diverse role models are all key actions to promote inclusion and eradicate discrimination within football.
The United Counties Football League is committed to a policy of equal treatment of all members and requires all members to abide and adhere to these
policies which are underpinned by the Equality Act 2010 and any amendments to this Act.
With this in mind, we are working towards achieving the Foundation Level and Preliminary Level of the National Equality Standards for Sport which will
