DEEPBLUE Kentucky Bluegrass is a strong, aggressive
type, offering superior early sod performance. It has
strong seedling vigor and improved sod tensile strength.
In a Sod Strength Test conducted by Dr. Xunzhong Zhang
and Dr. Sam Doak of Virginia Tech at the Lakehurst
Research Farm, DEEPBLUE rated the top spot. It required
an average of 45.30 pounds of pressure to tear the sod in
five strength tests, which was the most of all the
bluegrass varieties tested.
