After finishing off, keep the bits. You’ll need them to make the ears.
You don’t have to weave in the ends. Just tie two together.
Always start new rounds at a different stitch. This will make the change invisible.

Backside
Round 1: 6 st
6 sc into magic ring.
Fasten off. Leave the ends.
Round 2: 12 st
New color
2 sc into each st of previous round.
Finish round with a sl st.
Fasten off. Leave the ends.
Weave in or tie off ends of round 1.
Round 3: 18 st
New color
*2 sc into first st, 1 sc into next st*.
Repeat from * to * six times.
Finish round with a sl st.
Fasten off. Leave the ends.
Weave in or tie off ends of round 2.
Round 4: 24 st
New color
*2 sc into first st, 1 sc into next st, 1 sc into next stitch*.
Repeat from * to * six times.
Finish round with a sl st.
Fasten off. Leave the ends.
Weave in or tie off ends of round 3.

New color
*2 sc into first st, 1 sc into next st, 1 sc into next stitch, 1 sc into

Repeat from * to * six times.
Finish round with a sl st.
Don’t fasten off.
Weave in or tie off ends of round 4.
Round 6:
Continue with same color as round 5.

- Crochet into next st: 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 trc, ch 2 (right ear)

- Crochet into next st: 1 trc, 1dc, 1hdc
- 3sc
- Crochet into next st: 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 trc, ch 2 (left ear)

- Weave in or tie off all ends.
Front side
The front side is identical.
Don’t fasten of in last round.
Eyes, 2 x
Round 1: 6 st
6 sc into magic ring.
Fasten off. Leave the ends.
Round 2: 12 st
2 sc into every st of previous round.
Fasten off and weave in/tie off all ends except for one.
Leave this one long enough to sew on eye.

Instead of making crochet eyes, you can sew on googly eyes.
Finishing
Sew on eyes on front side.
Stitch beak.
Weave in/tie off all ends.
Sc front and back side together. Make a chain loop between both ears, if you want.
Stuff with filling material and finish round. Finish off and weave in end.
Make ears with the leftovers.
