#1) Follows Nothing More Than the Teachings of Jesus

To not teach anything but His Word – 1 Pet. 4:11
If I do not want to follow man’s ideas, be subject to man’s
opinions, and rely on human wisdom…
Then the church of Christ is for me!
#2) Originated in the Mind of God & Established in Acts 2

The church was in God’s plans for eternity – Eph. 3:9-11








Promised to establish His house – Isa. 2:2-3
Promised to set up His kingdom – Dan. 2:44
Predicted its imminent presence – Matt. 3:2; 4:17; 10:7
Promised to build His church – Matt. 16:18
Provided the keys to His kingdom – Matt. 16:19
Pinpointed the timing of its establishment – Mark 9:1
Purchased church with the blood of Christ – Acts 20:28
Powerfully established & revealed His church in Acts 2
If I do not want to be a part of something started by men…
Then the church of Christ is for me!
#3) Receives Anyone & Everyone Who Obeys
• God shows no partiality – Acts 10:34; cf. James 2:9
• Whoever fears Him & obeys is accepted – Acts 10:35





Jews & Gentiles alike – Eph. 2:14-18
Men & women, bound & free – Gal. 3:28
Those from every nation – Acts 2:5, 47; 10:35
Weak, less honorable, unpresentable – 1 Cor. 12:22-27
The chief of sinners – 1 Tim. 1:14-15
If I do not want to join a group that votes on membership,
segregates, or shows partiality in any form…
Then the church of Christ is for me!
#4) Mutually Dependent, Like a Family & a Body

A Father, on whom the family depends – Rom. 8:14-17
A Head, on whom the body relies – Eph. 5:23
Brothers & sisters, who care for each other – Gal. 6:10
Members of one another (Rom. 12:4-5; Eph. 5:30), who:
Love one another, serve one another, submit to one another,
comfort one another, encourage one another, forgive one another,
prefer one another, are kind to one another, pray for one another
If I do not want to associate with religious groups who treat
me more like a number, or an object, or a donor…
Then the church of Christ is for me!
#5) Eternally Destined for Heaven

Only those in the church are saved – Acts 2:41, 47
 Only the saved will go to heaven – Rev. 21:27

Only those in the body are in Christ – Eph. 3:6; 5:23
 Only those in Christ will go to heaven – Eph. 1:11
•
Only those who obey are children of God – Rm. 8:13-16
 Only children of God will go to heaven – Matt. 25:34
•
Only those who do God’s will are in the kingdom – Mt. 7:21
 Only the kingdom will be delivered – 1 Cor. 15:24
If I do not want to listen to man about getting to heaven…
Then the church of Christ is for me!
