Directions on Registering as a Team Captain Step One: Register Your Team -‐ Go to bhamcorpchallenge.com and click the light blue button on the top right side of the page that says “Register” -‐ Click “Company Registration” -‐ Fill out all of the required fields on the registration page It is important to note that if you register your company you will be the Team Captain. If your company decides to have multiple Team Captains, they will all have to use your login. Team Captains are responsible for all communication between Corporate Challenge staff and their team participants. -‐ Define your company URL by typing in the last part of your unique company link for registration. This will serve as the link that you send out to all of your employees. -‐ Choose your team’s division based on the number of people employed by your company in the Birmingham market. -‐ Pay the team entry fee via credit card online, or choose the invoice option and we will send your company an invoice and you can pay by check. *If you are a sponsor, email [email protected] to receive a promo code to register your team. Step Two: Choose Activities you are interested in -‐ Click on the “Activities” tab on the left side of your screen -‐ Here you will see various activity icons. You can learn more about each activity by reading the description. -‐ You will automatically be placed on the “Interested Team Members” list under each activity because you are the team captain, so you can choose which activities you will be a part of by placing yourself on a roster. Step Three: Invite Coworkers to Join -‐ Now that you have registered your team, it is time to invite your coworkers to participate! -‐ Send an email to employees of your company inviting them to sign up for Birmingham Corporate Challenge using the specific link for your company that you created, located on the top of the “Team Members” page. (We will provide examples of email templates that you can send out) Step Four: Create Team Rosters -‐ As a team captain, you are responsible for creating rosters for each Activity within the Birmingham Corporate Challenge -‐ Login to the Birmingham Corporate Challenge portal with your username and password that you created -‐ Click the “Activities” tab on the left side of the page -‐ Click “See Team” on an activity to begin assigning participants to activity rosters -‐ Look under the list of “Interested Team Members” and click “Add to Roster” to start building the teams. You can also choose “Add all Team Members” to add everyone who has expressed interest in the activity for the unlimited participation activities. -‐ To remove someone from a roster, click “Remove from Roster” -‐ Some events only allow a certain number of participants and the number of participants may be gender specific. The number of participants is listed in the activity description and the system will know how many participants you can add to each activity but you are responsible for adhering to the rules pertaining to the number of males and females -‐ You can manually sign up an employee as a team member if they do not have access to a computer by clicking on the “+ Add Team Member” gold icon on the Activities page. They will automatically be placed on the “Interested Team Members” list for each activity, so you will need to select which activities they will be involved in. They will still need to sign a waiver at the event. Step Five: Remind coworkers of upcoming deadlines -‐ You are responsible for communicating upcoming deadlines to your coworkers. -‐ You will select a deadline prior to July 1st for employees to sign up and express interest in events so that you can finalize rosters by no later than July 1st. -‐ Knight Eady will be able to view final rosters through the registration site Step Six: Finalize Rosters -‐ All rosters must be finalized by July 1, 2016. You will select “Publish Roster” to finalize the roster for each activity. There is an “Unpublish button” in case you need to make changes prior to July 1st. -‐ Employees can log back into their account to see if they were placed on a roster for an activity because there will be a green rectangle on the activity saying “Participating”. -‐ You can export your entire company roster to view all team members who have signed up and their information such as t-‐shirt size by clicking on “Export Company Roster” on the Activities page. You can export individual activity rosters by selecting “See Team” and then “Export Roster”. This will only show you the team members who have been placed on the roster for the specific activity. -‐ The Team Member icon on the toolbar will show you all team members who comprise your team. *If you have any questions, you can contact Suzanne Alvarez at Knight Eady ([email protected])
