Player
 Takes responsibility for his or herself and his/her behavior – makes the positive choice in all
situations on and off the court.
 Treats coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials with respect.
 Gives his/her best effort in practice and games.
 Keeps a positive and productive attitude at all practices and games.
 Attends all practices and games on time.
 Communicates with his/her coach before missing any time in practice or a game.
 Is a role model for all others, on and off the court or playing field.
 Conducts his/herself in a positive manner which brings credit to him or herself, the team and
Warm Springs K8 Academy:
o Does not try to intimidate others or use “trash talk”
o Brings only a positive attitude to practice and games
o No put downs or digs, no sarcasm or criticism of teammates, the team, or coaches, on or
off the court
o Remembers that participation in athletics is a privilege. Unacceptable behavior may result
in a player forfeiting their opportunity to participate.

Treats all coaches, players, officials and parents with respect.
Follows OSAA, JCSD 509-J and WSK8 policies and philosophies.
Prepares her/his team to the best of their ability.
Is fair and consistent when dealing with players.
Strives to be a good role model for all athletes.
Is available to answer questions or discuss issues with athletes, parents, and other coaches at an
appropriate time away from players, practice or games.
Provide players and parents with a practice schedule, game schedule and other information
pertinent to the player’s success.
Parents
 Treats all parents, players, coaches and officials with respect.
 Respects the decisions and judgments of the coaches and officials even though the parent may not
agree with the decisions.
 Sets an appointment to talk with the coach about questions, concerns, or issues at an
appropriate way away from games, practices, and players.
 Encourages their son or daughter to be a positive team player and to get along with all teammates
and coaches.
 Remains positive in his/her comments about son or daughter, other players, coaches and the
program to other parents and throughout the community.
 Contacts the coach if their child is ill, injured, not attending school or will be missing any practice
or game time PRIOR to the practice or game.
 Picks up their son or daughter on time after practices and games. The game schedule gives an
estimated return time to WSK8 so you can be prepared. Players will call from Redmond to update
their arrival time. Please, be at the school to meet the bus.
We encourage all families to attend both home and away games whenever possible and cheer on your
child and the team!
