During this session, Consumers will walk you through the application and submission process, required documents, tools, tips and techniques to aid organization’s considering submissions. We’ll also walk you through what it takes to transform your organization to world-class including organizational structure, metrics, and processes necessary for the transition. Even if you are not considering a submission, this session will assist you in improving your organization’s learning and development function. Biography: Jerry manages a team of nine instructional designers at Consumers Energy. He has over thirty-year’ experience in the instructional design field, holding many positions including Chief Learning Officer across a multitude of industries. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in instructional design from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and Wayne State University, respectively. He earned his Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) in 2003 from ISPI. Additional certifications include SPHR, SHRM-SCP and CSSGB. She joined FCA US in 2013 as a summer intern and parlayed that role into a full-time position with the company as a human resources business partner supporting the Network Development and Chrysler Academy groups. Most recently, Alex was an employee resources/labor relations business partner for Mopar. In this role, she designed human resources-related e-learning courses for new-hire field supervisors as well as facilitated plant manager training on various labor relations topics. What is VR, and how can we make use of it for learning and development? In this roundtable, we will discuss the real reality of virtual reality, its history, current state, and future potential. Biography: As a programmer for over 15 years, Walter Schirmacher brings to Innovative Learning Group his extensive experience in e-learning development, website programming, and mobile delivery. Walter’s experience with e-learning and web/media development tools includes After Effects, Audacity, Audition, Articulate Studio and Storyline, Captivate, and Lectora Publisher. Moreover, he’s an expert programmer, skilled in ASP.Net, PHP, HTML5, XML, and CSS. Walter has presented on the topic of mobile learning at Detroit ATD and has been involved in the development and implementation of ILG’s mobile initiatives. He also has served on a panel discussion and conducted a roundtable on the topic of gamification at ISPI Michigan.
