Gossmore Lane Recreation Ground – Proposed
Renovation of Playing Surface
Marlow Town Council is currently working with the Marlow Amateur Association of
Football Clubs with a view to renovating the playing pitches at Gossmore Lane Recreation
Ground. Organised football has been played at Gossmore for over 50 years and currently
hosts 3 senior teams as well as numerous boys and girls teams.
The condition of the pitches has become a matter of concern, with increasing levels of flint
stone breaching the top soil. If left this could deteriorate further creating a significant
safety hazard to footballers. Therefore we are looking at options for laying sustainable
new pitches to enable football to continue to be played at the site, and on vastly
improved surface facilities.
Marlow Town Council would like to hear your opinion on the current condition of
Gossmore Lane Recreation Ground and what you think of our pitch renovation proposal.
