ELIZABETH BARRETT-ANDERSON Attorney General FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Pedophile Gets 40 Years Jail Time January 12 , 2015- Tamuning, Guam- Vincent Peter Rosario Camacho was sentenced last week by Judge Perez to 40 years imprisonment at the Department of Corrections (DOC) for one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct. Additionally, he was sentenced to 27 years imprisonment for one count of terrorizing and two counts of child abuse as a misdemeanor, to run concurrent with the criminal sexual conduct convictions. Two of the victims, who were 8 years-old and 4 years-old at the time of the molestation, reported the incident to a family member while at a gathering for Christmas. A family meeting took place with the two young victims, their mother, and other female family members. It was at this meeting that a third victim came forward and relayed that she, too, had been touched by Camacho when she was about 4 or 5 years-old. It was immediately reported to Guam Police Officers. The 8 year-old victim reported that Camacho instructed her and the 4-year old to follow him into a room- both refused. The 8 year-old could hear the sobs and crying of the 4 yearold after Camacho grabbed her hand, led her to another room, and molested her. Later that same day, Camacho molested the 8-year old. He threatened her saying that he would spank and whip her if she told anyone. “It’s a good when a Judge accepts our sentencing recommendation for tough punishment. It’s not a life sentence, but it amounts to one,” said Attorney General Barrett-Anderson. Camacho must register as a Level I sex offender, pay restitution, and undergo sex offender treatment while incarcerated at DOC. ### 590 S.
