5. Student Success Planning (Administration) (10 min)
a. Update on Jeremy Conrad: March-June
BDCS was granted an extra teacher due to the student population, however, there was not enough
room for an extra classroom. Mr. Conrad’s role is to support the teachers (twice a week for 45 minutes). This
gives the classroom teachers the opportunity to have uninterrupted time to clse the gap for struggling students.
BDCS is very supportive of this model and there has been evidence of growth and forward progress in students.
b. Resources Purchased – PTP and School fund
Recent purchases include $8000 in Guided Reading books for grades P-2 and $13,000 in books for
Grades 3-4. $14,000 worth of chrome books, and 10 Hokki stools were purchased.

a. Lice policy – Parent: Shelley Veinot (10 min)
Mrs. Veinot had some concerns regarding the lice policy. The HRB lice policy has recently been
updated and will not change until it is up for renewal/revision.
b. Board Member South Shore/Bedford: Jennifer Raven (10 min)
Jennifer Raven attended the meeting to discuss the long-term outlook plan for BDCS. BDCS is
currently not included on a list of schools under review. Frank Hayden will attend the May SAC meeting to
update u on our concern regarding the increasing student population.
