Introduction
RCS – Radio & Satellite Communication was established in Africa more than a decade ago. It
started off as a private company dealing in radio solutions and evolved to offer a wide range of
communication products and services (please see further below) mostly in areas where there is
no established communication infrastructure.
Today RCS – Radio & Satellite Communication is a well known name in the region with the
Africa HQ located in Kampala, Uganda and offices and / or representation in most of the
surrounding countries.
RCS – Radio & Satellite Communication opened its first field office in Southern Sudan in Yei
almost 3 years ago. Today the Southern Sudan entity deals in the full range of products and
services of the larger RCS Group and has an office with fulltime Sales, Operations and Technical
Staff in Juba.

o Thuraya DSL portable satellite solution.
o IPSky2e, I-Direct and Linkstar Ku-band VSAT solutions (incl. shared, CIR and
dedicated bandwidth options), plus C-Band specific VSAT solutions
o In house acceleration and proxy solutions.
 Networks:
o A full range of basic network options, incl. radio repeaters, microwave links, fibre
optic and wireless canopies

Southern Sudan consists of the GOSS, the SPLA, Foreign Embassies, International
Humanitarian and Faith Based Organizations and Local and International Businesses.
