Congrats, club champs
The Wellington Tennis Club champs for 2016
were held over a weekend in mid-January,
with the winners being: Finlay Deterte
(men’s singles); Daisy Wang (women’s
singles); Isaac Patterson and Finlay Deterte
(men’s doubles); and Zak Dikvert and Neysa
Albrecht (mixed doubles).
Organisers Ben Leggett (club captain) and
Kieran Putt (club committee member) said
the weekend was a success and they would
be looking to repeat the format in a January
weekend next year.

fund-raiser social evening
On the evening of Saturday, 26 March, we have the
indoor courts at the Renouf Centre and the bar at
our disposal for a social, fund-raising event. (We’re
raising money for our junior tennis programmes.)
The door charge is $20 per person. This includes
finger food and fun tennis. Bring cash for the

Well done to our Premier 1 men’s team for coming third in their division (and winning their last three
ties); to our Premier 1 women’s team for also coming third; our Premier 2 men’s team for coming
fourth equal, our Premier 3 men’s Kilbirnie-combined team for coming fourth; and our Premier 3
women’s team for coming fourth equal.

Chirayath, William Roper) who are top of their division with one round to play.
Congrats to the B girls (the Hot Shot Aces – Rebecca Stewart, Grace Kerr, Abby Stewart, Tommy Davies,
Ruby Barton) who sit second in their division with one round to play.

Please keep your vehicles out of the rest home
carpark, including against the bank on the right
hand side near our pathway.
Park only on the road. There’s heaps of space.
Club house renovations
Committee member Zak Dikvert, who project
managed the club house’s interior renovations,
is now working on a plan for the exterior work.
We’ll let you know details as they’re finalised.

The club’s old computer seems to have died. We need another one. Does anyone have an unwanted one
