Clean your room-students divided in to
two teams by centerline. Various
items will be scattered about the
playing area (dirty clothes in room).
Students must correctly perform an
overhand throw to clean (throw) items
on to opponents’ side.

Throwing a football- Students will turn
their side to the target. They will bring
the ball back behind their ear, high and
away. Then, they will lead with their
throwing elbow, stepping toward the
target. Finish by snapping the wrist,
off the fingertips, and following
through.

Rollers/Bowlers- Students will be
divided into two groups. One group is
in charge of guarding a bowling pin.
The pins are spread out all around the
general space. The other groups of
students navigate around the gym and
roll their ball and try to knock down
the guarded pins. Once a pin is
knocked down the students are allowed
to pick them back up. After the music
is paused the groups switch.

Bowling- 5 mini lanes will be set up in
the gym. Students will be divided up
into lanes. The groups will be paired
with a roller and pin-setters. Students
will bowl to knock down pins using
the 4 step approach.

Example:
K-2
Toss, Catch, Chase!- Students will be
paired up. On “go” signal, students
will begin tossing and catching the ball
back and forth. When the teacher
blows the whistle, the person with the
ball becomes the tagger and they must
chase the other person in an attempt to
tag and “freeze” them. The students
will then reset and begin a new round
on teachers command.

Invade and Conquer- The class is
divided into two different teams, each
with their own side of the court. The
purpose of this game is to cross into
your opponent’s territory and put a ball
in their hoop. Student may run with the
ball or pass the ball to another
teammate. Once the hoop has a ball in

it, that spot is conquered and it can't be
removed (3-5 hoops on each side). If
you get tagged while on the other
team's side you are frozen and must
pass your ball back to your side.
Someone on your team must cross to
the other team’s side and tag you to
unfreeze you. Teacher will focus
heavily on the strategy of passing and
catching to conquer other teams hoops
faster.
