Confident English Course
The Japanese team can read English reasonably well. They have a
decent English vocabulary. They may even be studying English right
now. Sadly, when it comes to meetings and presentations, all of a
sudden, they cannot think of how to say it in English. Is this the
situation in your company?
It is not that their English language ability is poor. It is just that
they don’t have “confidence” in speaking English. They
are placing too much importance on speaking English
“perfectly”. They don’t want to make a fool out of
themselves by making mistakes. That self-consciousness
is holding them back from speaking English.
This course applies the know-how accumulated through
a hundred years of experience at Dale Carnegie
Training and helps release their mental-brakes. Learn
how to fully tap into your team’s latent English
language ability, so that they can learn to express
themselves in English with confidence.
Course Summary and Expected Outcomes
• Participants will be able to release self-consciousness that
discourages them from speaking English, using carefully
designed drills under the one-on-one guidance of a highly
experienced native English speaking trainer.
• Participants will develop an attitude to speak English confidently,
without getting too stuck on grammatical perfection and
thinking they need a big vocabulary, by engaging in practical
exercises that focus on speaking in English.
Course Duration
• Participants will learn to speak English with high energy and
persuasiveness, and will be able to have a professional "global"
presence in meetings with foreigners.
• Participants will acquire phrases and tips that are useful in
presentations and discussions done in English and will develop
English skills that are practical in day-to-day business.
• As trainers are able to speak Japanese, they can offer closelysupervised guidance to individuals in Japanese as needed.
•3 hours × 3 sessions
•This is a foundation course which helps participants get an immediate practical improvement in their ability to
present in English. It will also prepare them for taking their abilities to an even higher level, through subsequent
further training.
•Anyone wishing to operate in a global environment but who tends to be hesitant to speak out in settings where
English is required.

•Anyone who can introduce themselves to a certain extent but does not have confidence in giving presentations or
conducting discussions using English
•Anyone with basic English skills equivalent to a TOEIC score of 600 or higher
•Particularly recommended to anyone who is thinking about taking one of the English training courses offered by
Dale Carnegie and considering this course as a warm-up.
