Education and Professional Qualifications - DFID is primarily interested in the highest educational level you
have achieved, as well as whether you have basic numeracy and literacy skills in English, which is the language
in which we work.
Career History - list achievements rather than tasks or responsibilities. DFID wants to know what you can do
that is relevant to the job you are applying for.

will not accept additional material such as CVs. The short listing process has two stages:
Stage 1 – initial sift to ensure that you meet our basic criteria. Your capability of doing the advertised job, based
on you qualifications, experience and competences will be considered.
Stage 2 – a written test and interview, which also include a work sample exercise.
If short-listed, we will invite you to a written test and interview and we will ask you to state any special
arrangements we should make on account of disability.
At the interview we will ask you to provide proof of nationality and identity. If provisionally selected you will also
need to undertake a medical check to ensure you are fit for work, obtain the necessary security clearance as well
as provide us with references.
