This section signposts the location of key documents and advises stakeholders who are not current students or staff members about accessing materials which are not publically available through the website. The College HE Strategy is set out in this document. The College assures the quality of all HE programmes through the implementation of College policy and procedure/or the policy and procedure of partner Universities as appropriate. Franchise provision Academic regulations which govern the delivery of awards the College delivers on behalf of partner institutions can be found here: University of Salford University of Bolton Direct funded provision Quality assurance documentation and associated policy and procedural guidance is held on the College corporate manual. Learning and Teaching strategy The College Teaching and Learning Strategy is available here. All directly funded and franchised provision is delivered with reference to this document. Franchised provision is also subject to the Teaching and Learning Strategies of partner Universities: University of Salford University of Bolton HE Regulatory Information Partnership information The College delivers programmes through franchise arrangements with two HEIs: University of Salford University of Bolton The programmes that are delivered with each partner, and the benefits for students are outlined in the College HE Guide. Employability Statement The College also offers programmes awarded by Edexcel (HNC , HND and Higher Apprenticeship provision. Information about Edexcel awards is available here. Programme design All programmes offered by the College are mapped to labour market priorities in Greater Manchester. All programmes are vocationally based and programmes include, wherever possible units or modules with a specific focus on: Employability Personal Professional Development Industry linked vocational practices. All foundation degrees have compulsory work based learning aspects. Careers and guidance services All HE Students are able to access independent College careers guidance at our centres. Students studying on programmes delivered through franchise are also able to access careers provision at Partner Universities. Results of internal surveys Links with employers The College provides detailed programme information for University of Salford and HNC/D programmes on the HE section of the website Survey outcomes are available to HE staff and students on the College intranet. The College delivers a number of programmes which have a placement aspect. Some HE students are observed in their own work based setting. For these programmes, having appropriate work or voluntary activity in place at the beginning of the course is a condition of entry. This is detailed in the entry requirements for our programmes. On some programmes, students are required to undertake a work placement or work based activity during the course. These placements or activities are negotiated by the College in partnership with the learner. In instances where, for reasons beyond the learner or Colleges control, HE Regulatory Information external opportunities cannot be identified or fall through, alternative College based opportunities are found. Partnerships by programme The College is committed to providing relevant work related opportunities to all students. This can include: Guest lectures from industry specialists and trips and visits. Assessment briefs which focus on simulated work based scenarios. Opportunities to engage in personal and professional development planning. Opportunities to develop skills required for self-employment/ freelancing as appropriate. The development of transferable skills- e.g. communication, numeracy and ICT. Guidance about content on individual programmes is available here . The College offers programmes in partnership with three different awarding bodies (see partnership information above). The awarding body information is detailed in the College HE guide and partner providers are named in each course description. Please detail the reason for the request in the email. Key Information Sets (KIS) Key information Sets are available for eligible courses are available on course description available here. Please note that not all courses are eligible for KIS- e.g. courses with a credit value of 120 credits or less such as HNC and PGDE/PDE.
