2. ACRL Core Values TF: Survey Results
Some Points Jean Pulled from the Summary to Consider


81% “believe that ACRL should advocate for, promote, and
provide support on issues such as intellection freedom and
professional ethics”;
However, 75% reported low use of ACRL as their source for
IF and ethics information, because of “scarce and sporadic
provision of resources” in this area. “As an alternative,
respondents often noted ALA as their most common source.”

3. Ethics Committee 2012-13 Work Plan
 Our
goal for the year is to establish an
online forum for ACRL members to discuss
ethical issues.
 Time line.
January, 2013. Open the forum for discussion.
 Jan. – May, 2013. Promote the forum
 May, 2013. Assess the success & report to
ACRL board.

