Scoring the Game Using Tournament Manager 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Arrange your scorecards in the order of Team number to make data entry easier. Open TM and select “Tournament Sheet” Click on the first player on team #1 and press the + button on your numeric keypad. (You could also click “+Score Card” at the bottom left of the screen). The score card will open with the cursor positioned ready to enter scores. Enter the gross score hole by hole. As you enter each hole, notice that the cursor automatically jumps to the next hole. After entering all eighteen holes, look at the totals. See if the Score and Adj Score are the same. The Adj score is adjusted for equitable stroke control. The program automatically takes care of that for you. The Adj score is the one which will be entered into the handicap system. If the Gross score does not match what was recorded on the scorecard, find the mistake and correct it. (It could either be a math mistake, or you could have incorrectly entered the gross scores into the computer.) After the card is corrected, mark the card to indicate the score to be posted (ie in the above example, 91/85 ). Otherwise, I will not know the correct score to enter in the handicap system. To close the scorecard, press the + key. Press the + key a second time to open the next players score card. Repeat this process until all scores have been entered. Now you are ready to report the results. Click “Reports “, and “Tournament Team Results (Custom ADVANCED)”. When the window opens, find the game you played (in the lower section of the window). Select that game and click Display Report. You will see: 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. Check to make sure the report options are correct. Be sure (at the top right) “How to Sort…”says “Sort by Tiebreak‐by Handicap Holes” . Then select OK to show your report. Look the report over and make sure it correctly scored the game. See if it matches what the teams had reported in scoring their games etc. and fix any problems on the score cards. Frequently you will find that they have made math errors, failed to take the correct number of nets on each hole, failed to adjust scores for equitable strokes etc. Correct any of the score cards that are wrong. I suggest using a colored pen to make the corrections. So that Frank will know who to pay, you need to mark the scorecards to show who came in 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. Next, with your report still displayed, select “Internet”‐“Save current report for display on website”. A window opens: Please do not need to type anything in the Name box. Find your file from the list that appears above and click on it once. When you do, that name will appear in the name box. Do not add anything, such as a date, etc. , since the correct date will appear after you have saved to the website. When you see your file in the Name box, click Save. Your game should now be posted on the Website. Log on to the website and check to make sure. Once it is posted to the website, put your money and the score cards into one of our league envelopes. On the outside, mark how many played, how much money was collected etc. Please return the envelope to my house (717 Oak Hill Drive). If I am not home, leave the envelope under my front door mat.
