Dear Editor,
As you reported in yesterday’s newspaper, the city plans to cut
services on the Green Bus Line. I understand that this is being done
to reduce costs. However, services should not be reduced.
Many kids in the downtown area use the Green Line to get to
the library and the mall. Without the bus service, kids would have
to walk to those places. It’s over three miles. Further, the route is
not safe. Kids could get hurt by passing cars speeding by.
I understand that costs are rising, but we need the Green Bus
Line. The city should not cut it.. Perhaps we can increase the ticket
price.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Anker
