
Austria: lowest youth unemployment rates within the EU
(December 2015: 10,8 %) due to apprenticeship training system (= dual system):
80% training on the job, 20% training in VET schools.
Dual system: only in A, CH and GER.

33.000 Austrian entrepeneurs train apprenticeships; Large gourp of companies (up to 100 apprenticeships
in 10 different professions; medium and smalll scale companies -> up to 15 apprenticeships)

220 vocational trainings are performed within a dual system in Austria

80% of Austrian students at age 15 -> choose the vocational dual system after the mandatory school
years (higher professional schools or vocational trainings in companies)

50% of Austrian entrepreneurs themselves are graduates of the dual system

WIFI has a Service Department for Apprenticeships -> is the coordinating and consulting place for
companies, furthermore train training instructors (Lehrlingbeauftragte) and carry out the examinations
after the 3 years of apprenticeship trainings called „Werkmeisterpruefung „


To establish a testcenter for occupational orientation,
which supports the decision process for young pupils in
carinthia particulary in the field of apprenticeship.

All young people in carinthia between fourteen and
seventeen visit our testcenter TAZ!

TAZ brings young pupils and apprenticeship orientated
companies together!

Step1: Company profiles

Companies who intend to train apprentices, deposit their individual
profiles in the TAZ database .

Each profile contains 23 criteria.

Step 2: School classes are visiting






School class makes an appointment for testing.
Registration will be done via Internet.
Each student starts at one of the 30 stations.
Testcourse works like „circle training“ in sports.
Each station needs 5 minutes – 1 minute for change
Two breaks with 10 minutes each are included.

After finishing all the tests and the final game at the climbing wall, the diploma
ceremony takes place and a group picture will be taken.

Step 3: Feedback

Each candidate will receive a diploma that shows the personal strengths and talents.
If the student has exceeded one or more company profiles, the names of the companies
will be listed on an additional paper.
The final score is available via Internet. The personal results are private and can be used
for any further application. Only this document shows the relative result!
Additional and individual consulting services are offered.


Schools with 100% participation are rewarded.
Each company with a profile gets a quarterly feedback.




Additional Informations





Fee: 20 Euro / candidate (only for school classes)
TAZ can be used as an assessment center by companies (30 Euro / candidate).
Parents can send their childs for individual tests (30 Euro / candidate).
After two month every candidate can repeat the testcourse for free.
Data privacy is guaranteed!

