2017 PAC-12 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Post-Game Notes
GAME 10: #2 Stanford (71), #6 Oregon (56)
Saturday, March 4, 2017
Stanford advances to the Tournament championship game for a record 14th time (in 16 Tournaments), where it will play
#1 Oregon State. The Cardinal has won 11 of the 13 title games it has played in. It will attempt to become the first #2
seed to capture the title.
Tonight’s attendance of 8,384 is the highest ever for a Tournament semifinal session and second overall (9,686 last
night).
This was the first Tournament match-up between Stanford and Oregon.
Tomorrow night will feature the seventh #1 vs. #2 match-up in Tournament history (first since 2012). The #1 seed has
won every game (each time Stanford).
Oregon led by 9 (25-26) after 1 quarter. Its largest lead over Stanford in two regular season games was one point.
Sabrina Ionescu (Ore.) scored in double figures for the third time in the Tournament (3-game total – 54). Maite Cozorla
scored 14 points in the game for the 5th time this season.
The Cardinal has distributed the scoring, with only Brittany McPhee scoring in double-figures in both Tournament
games.
Stanford’s Erika McCall now has 13 double-doubles this season. Her 15 rebounds were the second most she had this
season. Kaylee Johnson picked up her first double-double of the season (9, career). Briana Roberson had double-figure
points for the 8th time this season.
The Cardinal followed up its 8 blocked shots performance on Friday with 10 blocks tonight. The 10 equals a Tournament
single game record (twice – once by Stanford vs. USC on 3/8/14). With one game to go, 18 blocks ties for 4th place in a
single Tournament.
The Ducks’ Lexi Bando fouled out of the game for the first time this season.
