Route 1 – fastest - 90 miles, 1hr 50 mins. Via M6 north, A685 to Kirkby Stephen, A685, A66, A1 south,
B6267.
Route 2 – shortest - 67 miles, 2hrs. M6 north, A684 Sedbergh, Hawes, Leyburn, Masham.
Park at Nosterfield Quarry (Tarmac) car park (Grid ref SE 283 804, Nearest Postcode DL8 2QT), just off the
B6267 500m East of Nosterfield village.
Toilets should be open at the car park.
Walk round the Nosterfield quarry reserve and then through the village to Nosterfield LNR (Lower Ure
Conservation Trust)
The whole route is just over 4 miles with no stiles, flat terrain and good paths.
It takes 30 minutes brisk walk from the furthest hide at Nosterfield LNR back to the car park by the route shown
on the map.
