Vale Mr Vin Condon
Footscray Edgewater Cricket Club mourns the passing of our esteemed Life Member Mr Vin Condon.
Vin’s commitment to the Footscray Cricket Club spanned over 35 years including Team Manager of the 1979/1980 Premiership Team
and over more recent times as Groundsman. Vin was an extremely popular and loved member of the Club who always had a kind word
and a laugh for everyone. He will be sadly missed.
Deepest sympathies to Lyn, Paul, Grant and Families.
1000th Match

Saturday 4th October saw the club play its 1000th Match and Unfurl it’s 2013/14 Premiership Flag against Casey-South
Melbourne. The day was an absolute success with many past players gathering for the flag unfurling followed by an afternoon
tea and a club dinner after the match. The day was topped off with a hard fought win to the 1 st XI, getting up against a gallant
Casey Sth-Melbourne side by 3 wickets.

Who can forget the unbelievable scenes following our Premiership win last season?
We want to experience that feeling again, so we ask you to support the Club as we strive to become a “Powerhouse of
the Competition”. Your membership also helps us to build our young “Bulldog Academy” which saw 530 kids from the
West go through multiple cricket practice and coaching sessions last season. Junior squads toured Tasmania and Sri
Lanka. We know you follow the Club with keen interest, so now is the time to support the club and become a member.

Premiership Team; plus 2 tickets to International cricket at the MCG; plus an invitation to an all-inclusive a lunch at the
Clubrooms to watch the First X1 Premier team in action. You will also go into the draw to win a round of golf with Merv
Hughes, or have him attend a lunch.
