In 2008,
The annual Brain Bowl did once again start.
Testing our skills,
To our teams we all dart.
To rooms we all go,
For round one began.
To see who would be victorious,
And be on the winners stand.
Two rounds have passed,
And now we are waiting.
To see who would move on,
We are truly anticipating.
My team goes on
To round three.
Hoping to win,
Who would it be?
Although we aren’t winners,
Our team is proud.
Watching the finalists,
We scream and shout!

Three students per team
• Three teams
compete per room
• Ideal team:
mix of boys and girls
AND
at least one fifth grader
and one sixth grader

Scoring Format
• First team is asked a question
• Only the TEAM CAPTAIN may say the answer after
consulting with other team members
• Team One will receive 30 points if answered correctly
• If not, second team may respond for 20 points
• If second team is incorrect, third team may respond
for 10 points
• Team Two will then be asked the next question
• Each team will be asked the same number of questions
for 30 points each
