NOTICE TO TEAM CAPTAINS – #4 - WESTERN AREA
PLAYOFFS ENTRY INFO RMATION

Following the partial completion of the Qualifier at Chew Valley SC on the weekend of 6/7 Match and discussion
with Team Captains over the weekend, the BUSA Area Representative has organised a further day’s racing at
Chew Valley SC on Saturday, 27 February, 2016.

It is intended that the overall results of the Western Qualifier should be published on Sunday, 28 February.

Special arrangements have, therefore, been made for entries for the three teams qualifying for the Playoffs to
be entered on BUCScore after the deadline for the other Qualifying teams. This will necessitate a quick
turnaround, with a deadline for Western entries at 23.59 hours on Tuesday, 1 March.

Team Captains should be prepared to make arrangements through their AU/SUs on Monday 29th, or the day
after, to complete their entry, should their team qualify for the Playoffs. The Playoffs are to be held at Tata Steel
Sailing Club, Eglwys Nunydd Reservoir, Margam, Port Talbot, SA13, hosted by Swansea University (local contact:

To enter, you must, by 23.59hrs on Tuesday, 1 March, 2016, confirm your entry via BUCScore by entering
your team members and, thereby, confirming payment (via BUCScore) of the entry fee:
Whilst the event entry will show on BUCScore as “closed”, your AU/SU will be able to add your team and other
details. BUCS will manually approve such requests from the three Western teams qualifying for Playoffs.
Please confirm the name of each team member, entering them in helm–crew, helm-crew, helm-crew
order on BUCScore, together with the name, mobile number and email address for the Team Captain.
The Team Captain is the only person who will receive information about the event by email.
You are permitted to change your team, provided that you do this no later than the entry deadline. Any
substitute must be from a team that did not qualify, or from your reserves.
There is a facility on the Playoffs event on BUCScore, available now and until the above deadline, to add
additional reserves. The existing reserves previously registered for the Qualifiers remain available.
You are not permitted to use anyone from a team that is still in the competition (i.e. a team that has qualified
direct to Finals or another team at the Playoffs).
Any change made after the entry deadline will incur a £40 fine unless BUSA agrees that it was
unavoidable. Such extraordinary requests for changes after the deadline should be sent to
[email protected] for application to the Technical Delegates.

All sailors registered on BUCScore, whether entered for the Qualifiers or as a Reserve, should complete
the on-line Confidential Medical Questionnaire by no later than the above closing date.at:
