WEEKLY NEWSLETTER 24th February 2017 Dear Parents and Guardians, Next week sees the beginning of Lent and the P4-7 children will attend mass on Ash Wednesday. Please help us by sending in your pennies for the annual Lenten Trocaire campaign and help us support those families around the world who are less fortunate than ourselves. The P4-5 children got the opportunity to watch a drama production of “In the Net,” which educated them on the dangers of using the internet. Please keep checking what apps, games and social media your child is using as they frequently change what they are doing and it is important to know they are safe online. Also be wary of a game called Roblox, it is one being hacked by adults putting on inappropriate images. Latecoming: We are increasingly concerned about the time keeping of a large number of children. Can parents please ensure children are in their line for 9:00a.m as they are missing the settling time each morning. We will be sending letters to parents whose children are frequently late on a daily basis in the coming week. Assemblies: We were thrilled at the turn out of grandparents who came along to our Special assemblies yesterday. It was lovely to celebrate their roles in the children’s lives and to hear the reasons why they are so special to their grandchildren. The P1 children and the school choir entertained them with their beautiful singing. Thanks to the staff for helping prepare the children, the children did you all so proud!
