BUBBLE-BALL INFORMATION ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BALL SIZES: -Small fits up to 5’ 7”, -Medium fits 5’ 7” to 5’ 9”, Large fits 5’10” and above, (please note that chest sizes over 44” may be a tight fit in the large bubble) *GROUP SIZE/NUMBER OF BUBBLES NEEDED: The size of the group can be determined by the renter. Our suggestion because Bubble-Ball can be a physical workout is to have enough balls to cover about 2/3’s of your group. For example, if you have 12 people, you would want about 8 bubbles. That will allow substitutions and rest and recovery times. FIELD SUPERVISION: All rentals will come with a LANCO Fieldhouse employee who will act as a Field Host/Supervisor TIME ON FIELD: All rates are for a total of 1 hour which consists of a 10 to 15 minute instruction and fitting, 40 minutes of field play, 5 to 10 minutes of equipment removal and wrap up. BUBBLE-BALL GENERAL RULES Things not allowed that will cost you a foul and possible eviction of the game: -Intentional contact with shoes to the bubbles -Contact with another player when they are facing the opposite direction, while they are on the ground, or contact towards the white linen while that players is within 10’ of line. -Contact with another player towards the outside white lines while they are within 10’ of that line. -Only the use of flat rubber soled shoes or no shoes will be permitted -Use of profanity during the game -Intentional repeat attack of another player -Use of excessive force towards another player -Intentionally going outside the white perimeter lines. Prepare to play:Have long hair tied up and jewelry off. Sharp objects cannot be worn in the bubbles. We will not be responsible for lost items, so please do not wear jewelry to the game. Also wear closed toe flat rubber soled shoes. Please do not wear cleats. Empty your pockets. No large belt buckles that could hard the bubble or yourself. Shirts with sleeves, no tank-tops. Players will be responsible for damage to the bubbles if they are found to have caused intentional damage at any time to their or the other players bubble including playing outside the white lines. BUBBLE-BALL SOCCER RULES Games will consist of two (2) 10 minute halves – run time with a three (3) minute half-time break. KICK-OFF – The Ball will be placed at center of field and teams will line up outside the circle. Once the referee blows the whistle, teams may run to the ball for possession. This occurs every time a goal is scored. Goal Keepers ARE NOT designated, meaning if you wish to have one of your teammates stand in front of the goal that is acceptable. -PENALTY KICKS – Penalty Kicks are given at the discretion of the ref. If players are playing in an overly aggressive manner or breaks any rules listed above, then a penalty kick can be awarded to the opposing team. YELLOW & RED CARDS: Players may be given a Yellow or Red card depending on the infraction. A yellow card means the player has a 5 minute time out. A red card will mean that players is done for the remainder of the rented session. -OFFSIDE – No Offside rules will be applied to this particular competition. If the soccer ball lands inside a bubble ball, play will stop immediately and the ball will be retrieved. The Referee will then conduct a ‘drop ball’ with one member from each team. CONTACT BETWEEN BUBBLE BALLS – It is forbidden to hit a player from behind, or to aim the bubble at another’s legs. Any illegal contact will result in a warning, and a penalty shot against the opposing team by the wronged player. It is also forbidden to fiercely go at a player who is not wearing a ball, or a player who is down on the ground trying to get up; player must be on both feet before they can be bumped again. You must play the ball and follow the game. OTHER BUBBLE BALL GAMES -Zombie Bubble: One player is the “Zombie” who starts in the center of field and if the “Zombie” touches anyone then they also are a Zombie. -Bubble Kickball: Players kick and run around the bases. Catching players must first touch ball before they can then run to know down base runner before they get to a base. -Bubble Dodgeball: Players kick a ball towards the other players and if they are hit, they are out. Can be team vs team or “last bubble standing”. -King/Queen Of The Ring: All participants are in a circle and the last one standing in the circle without getting knocked down wins. HYGIENE – After each game, you must clean the inside of your bubble ball (out of respect for those who will use the bubble ball next). The LFH staff will provide
