Golfers are invited to play in the monthly Warrior
Four-Person Scramble. The cost is $25 for members and

July 9 • 7 a.m.
Join us for the second summer triathlon to compete
as an individual or as a relay. The triathlon includes
a 300-meter swim, 10-mile ride and 2-mile run. The
cost is $20 per person and the registration deadline
is July 5. Packet pickup will begin at 5:30 a.m. on

Summer Group Swim Lessons
July 10-21 and July 24–Aug. 4
9-9:45 a.m. and 11-11:45 a.m.
Swimming lessons are designed for ages 6 months to
16 years old. Registration is held at Fort Sam Houston
Aquatic Center Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m.
to 6:30 p.m. Swim level assessments will be given
on the first day of each session. Class rosters will be
posted after assessments are completed. Each class
is limited to 40 students. The cost is $65 per session

2017 Armed Forces Salute

Disney® is providing the Military Salute Tickets to eligible
service members, which includes special admission tickets
for active-duty military and retirees through December. The
number of tickets that can be purchased is six per military
member or retiree ID card. The military member or retiree
must accompany their party at the gate to activate the
tickets. New this year to the Disney World® Salute tickets
is a Five-Day ticket. Prices for the Four-Day ticket range
from $207 to $244. The Five-Day ticket prices range from
$222 to $259. Each price is per person. ITT also carries
Disneyland® Three-Day Park Hopper admission tickets
for $155 and have added a Four-Day Hopper for $180.
Youth Horsemanship Camp

Fitness Challenge Combine

The Fitness Challenge Combine consists of bench
press, 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuffle, broad jump, high
jump, medicine ball throw, obstacle course and tire
flip. Each event will be scored on a point system.
This free event will be held on the turf field next to the
METC Fitness Center and is open to all DOD ID cardholders

The Camp Bullis Rod-N-Gun Recreation Center provides
Concealed Handgun License classes. Successful
completion of this class is required to apply for a Texas
CHL. To register, go to chlregistration.com and select
“Register for Class” and the select “Dan Willis” –
Leatherneck Arms. Cost is $65. Students must be at least
21 years or 18 years and active-duty military. DOD ID
cardholders only. Participants must meet qualifications to

Archery is Three Dimensional
July 22-23 • 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Camp Bullis Rod-N-Gun Recreation Center hosts a
3D archery competition. Registration is 8-10 a.m. and
the course needs to be completed by 1 p.m. Cost for
the Fun Shoot is $5 for E1-E4, active duty or medically
retired, $15 per person for all others 13 years and older
and $5 for youth 12 and younger. The Competition fee
is $10 for E1-E4, active duty or medically retired and
$20 per person for all others 13 years and older.

Teens, ages 13-18, can have fun and listen to music
while enjoying the pool without having to watch
their little brother or sister. Relax and just hang
out with your friends and make new ones! Cost is

Dive-in Movie Night
Tuesdays through Aug. 15 • 7:30-10 p.m.
Bring the family and their own clear colored tubes for a fun
night floating in the pool and watching a family friendly
movie at the Warhawk Pool. Cost is $3 for adults, $2 for
children 10 and younger and free for season pass holders.
Junior Golf Camp
July 10-14 and July 24-28
Youth, ages 8-17, are invited to learn the game of golf in
one of two sessions offered at Gateway Hills Golf Course.
Each session has four days of instruction and one day of
play with lunch. The classes cover golf basics, grip, stance,
swing, chipping and putting. Two sessions are offered
each day from 8-9 a.m. and 9:30-10:30 a.m. The cost for
the classes is $100 if the participant brings their own clubs
or $200 for participants with no clubs. These classes are
limited to the first 10 registered and paid participants.
Across the Pond Tournament
July 22 • 8 a.m. shotgun start
There will be blind draw before the tournament to pair
players with a Pro playing in the British Open. The fee is
$30 per person plus green fee and cart. Sign up by July 20.

Sunset Cruise on Canyon Lake. Cast off from the Hancock
Cove Marina at 7:30 p.m. and take a scenic ride around

approximately one and a half hours as you tour the
lake and watch the sunset over the beautiful hillside.
The cost for this relaxing evening is $10 for adults and

Center staff. As you complete each challenge please
have a fitness team member initial that item before you
move on to the next one. When you have completed the
challenge, turn in your booklet to the fitness center staff.

First Steps Fall Soccer Registration
July 5-Aug. 7 • Monday–Friday
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Parents of children ages 3-4 may register their children
for this six-week instructional program that teaches the
basic fundamentals of soccer in harmony with the gross
motor movements of pre-school and early school age
children. In addition, parents are required to participate
as an extension of the instructor so that the element of
fear is eliminated. A current physical and immunization
record are required at the time of registration. The
cost is $35 per child and this program is open to all
DoD ID cardholders. Program starts in August.
Camp Eureka (Science Camp)
Ages: 6-12 years
Time & Dates: July 18-21 from 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $20 per person and there is a limit of 25 participants
Investigate the world of science during this class. Science
camp brings the fun, the amazement and the wonder of all
things science. Inspire the inventor and scientist in you!
