What Is SimulStream?
Osprey SimulStream is a software upgrade that extends the capabilities of Osprey video
capture cards. SimulStream enables a single Osprey video card to output multiple instances of
audio and video data from a single input source to multiple applications.
SimulStream Evaluation
You may try SimulStream using the evaluation option. The evaluation option allows you to see
how you would benefit from the capabilities of SimulStream before purchasing the product.
Follow these steps to enable the evaluation period:
1. Select the capture driver settings dialog from your capture application.
2. Select the SimulStream tab.
3. Select the enable SimulStream check box.
4. Close the driver dialog.
5. Open a second capture application. The capture driver will allow multiple capture
sessions.
Note: A SimulStream Evaluation watermark displays on all video capture sessions while the
evaluation is enabled. This watermark disappears when you disable the evaluation or you
enable SimulStream using the registration utility.
How to Purchase SimulStream
Access www.ospreyvideo.com to find a local reseller/distributor in your area.
Osprey SimulStream Registration Process
The Osprey SimulStream feature is enabled by registering a key with the drivers using the utility
provided with this document. This key would have been provided to you when you purchased
your Osprey product or in an email if you purchased SimulStream from an e-commerce site.
The registration utility allows you to see what Osprey cards eligible for SimulStream activation
you have installed in your system as well as the serial number of the card and the SimulStream
status.
The SimulStream key your purchased is specific for either an analog or digital card. The Osprey
530, Osprey 540 and Osprey 560 are digital cards. You can assign an analog SimulStream key
to any one analog card. Likewise, you can assign digital card SimulStream keys to any digital
card.

Registration on machines that are not connected to the Internet

not able to connect to the Internet. You need to install the Registration Utility on the machine
with the Osprey cards as well as any machine that does have a connection to the Internet.
