GRADE PREFERENCES SET TO ZERO DECIMAL PLACES PowerTeacher Gradebook allows a setting of up to two decimal places in Tools, Preferences. However, some teachers in our district have seen challenges when calculating a final grade for a student. Please see the example below: 85.3+ 83.6= 84.45 Which, for the final mark, PT Gradebook is showing an 84. As you can see, this student should have an 85 Final Mark. However, PowerTeacher Gradebook is showing an 84. If this gradebook was set to zero decimal places, it would have used 85+84 as quarter grades, resulting in an 85 for a F1 mark. To eliminate this issue, you can set your gradebook to ZERO decimal places. To do this: Click on Tools, Preferences Click on the Grading tab. Choose Rounded. Choose 0 decimal places. Below is a screen capture of Sample Student after changing the Grading Preferences to rounded with zero decimal places. Hopefully you will find this helpful!
