IHFA YMA Showmanship League 2017
Y.M.A. is the Young Members Association of the Holstein Friesian Association (IHFA). The ethos of the
association is to foster young members in Holstein Friesian breeding and impact the necessary education
and skills. Last year the National YMA Committee in conjunction with numerous local shows introduced
a ‘Showmanship League’as a new competition. The odjective is to give YMA members the opportunity to
hone their showing (showmanship) skills and experience by providing regular competitions in a show
setting. The results are recorded which form the basis of a league format. At the end of the Summer show
season a final will be held where the overall winners will be presented with their prizes.
