TQ-TRG-PRORail Safety Workers Card/RISI Process for Students
1. Rail Industry Worker Portal
There is a "Register Now" link on this website where you can begin the process of registering for a Rail
Industry Worker card - http://railindustryworker.com.au/register-now.
2. Company Registration
If your company is not already registered in the Onsite Track Easy system, you will be required to enter your
company ABN and details to register for an account on the Rail Industry Worker portal. Once approved, you
will receive an email with the logon details to the portal.
3. Enter Employees/Contractors
You are now able to enter and edit your company employees in the Rail Industry Worker Portal; this
includes personal contact details, address, phone and email.
4. Complete Training with Transqual Pty Ltd
On completion of Training a Statement of Attainment will be issued.
5. Upload Competencies
Now that your employees are in the system, you can upload relevant documentation to support their
qualifications and competencies. You will be required to supply details of the minimum requirements as
well as qualifications based on the role of the employee.
For Signalling, Supervisory, Project Managers and Engineers this includes certain documents that have been
assessed, approved by an authorised assessor and endorsed by the relevant Rail Operator.
6. Order and Pay for Card
Now that you have supplied the minimum requirements for qualifications, you are able to order and pay for
the Rail Industry Worker cards for your employees. A tax invoice will be supplied upon payment completion.
7. Complete 100 point ID Check
Upon payment, you will receive an email with a unique ID check form for each employee. Each employee
will need to attend a participating Australia Post Office with a printout of their ID check booking form along
with 100 points of identification. A photo will be taken by Australia Post which will be used in the creation
of their Rail Industry Worker card. You will receive notification via email or SMS once your 100 point check
has been completed

8. Pegasus Safety Validate Competency
Once your 100 point ID check has been approved by Australia Post, Pegasus Safety will validate the
uploaded documents provided during the registration process. If there are any issues with the provided
documentation you will receive notification via email and an opportunity to provide updated information.
9. Apply Competencies to Contractor
Pegasus Safety will assign the relevant competency to the employee/contractor based off the provided
documents, and approve the registration. A notification will be sent to confirm you have met the minimum
requirements for the Rail Industry Worker card to be issued.
10. Print Cards and & Ship to Contractor
Your card will then be printed and then shipped via Registered Post. A unique tracking number will be sent
to you via email and/or SMS. You can track the shipment on the Australia Post website with the tracking
number supplied.
