PUPIL BULLETIN FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2015 S1-S6 – All Cello and Double Base Pupils – Mr Mustard will not be able to take pupils for their Cello and Double Base Lessons on Friday 25 September 2015 due to an unavoidable appointment. (J Mustard, Head of Instrumental Instruction) European Week of Languages: As part of the whole school celebration of languages, there will be European tunes playing in the canteen at break and lunchtime all this week. The canteen staff are cooking up some international dishes this week too, so come along to the hot food serving bar and try some flavours from around the world. ATTENTION ALL YEAR GROUPS ....***COMPETITION***: This is your chance to lead your house to victory and earn the afternoon out of class on the last week of term!!!! The house that raises the most sponsor money for the sponsored walk which is taking place on Friday 2nd of October will be shown a film on the last week of school before the October holidays. This is your chance to win for your house. Who will it be?? GORDON? INNES? MORAY? RANDOLPH? SEAFIELD? it’s up to you!!! Pupil File Saving: Pupils are reminded that their files should only be saved in the following places: Home Area - Student In - Pen Drive (at their own risk). Files should not be saved to any other locations, especially the Applications drive. This is for staff use only if you have saved any files there please remove them before they are deleted. Macmillan Coffee Morning: Breaktime Friday 25th. Come along to the hall at breaktime for some cake in aid of Macmillan. Thank you (N Ramzy) Talent Show: All pupils taking part in the Talent Show must attend next week’s rehearsals. A list and order of participants/acts will then be drawn up for the dress rehearsal and final show.(AW) Our Eurovision Song Contest is TODAY! This will have even more glamour and glitz then seen before. In the Library at Lunchtime. We will have three tremendous acts competing for the top prize. A special staff act will perform while the judges are deliberating. Make sure you come along to support the judges and the S6 translators and the acts in what will be a great contest. It all starts at 1.00pm in the Library. Boom Bang a Bang! S1-S3 European Week of Languages: As part of the European Week of Languages, all S1-S3 pupils are invited to take part in a Treasure Hunt around the school. There are 16 questions on posters around the school and your Reg teacher will give you an answer sheet. Each question has a number beside it. On your answer sheet you will see a space beside each country to write in a number, just match the questions to the answers! Have fun, amusez-vous bien! Viel Spass! To be in with a chance of winning, please return your completed answer sheets to your French or German teacher by the end of this week (Friday 25th September). Get ready for the Speak to Me challenge on Friday 25th September! Talk to as many members of staff as you can in French, German or Spanish. Each staff member you speak to will sign your planner, and there are prizes for the people with the most signatures in their planner on Monday morning. S1/S2 Cooking Club: Cooking club will run this Tuesday at 3.20pm - 4.20pm YOU MUST SIGN UP BEFORE TUESDAY TO SECURE YOUR PLACE! It will cost £1.00 and please bring a tub. There will be an array of information stalls, including both academic institutions and arts organisations, and a programme of panel discussions and presentations.
