II. Executive Summary
Devious Programming is a game software company that has potential to change the world in the
upcoming future. Our main focus work at the moment is on games that will change how many
think of the concept of gaming with key ideas we get from research of people who have been
gaming for years to those who casually play. Through these key ideas we grasp a better concept
of how to apply these ideas to a theme that is one of a kind into the world of gaming. Our
customers are gamers and others who enjoy the causality of gaming alike giving the consumer
what they search for within the gaming community.
Our products are games that can be purchased from either our website or from gaming libraries.
With the future in sight for the concept of gaming with the future release of virtual reality
systems we hope to meet this evolving gaming world with games that will not only revolutionize
the world of gamers but also the world of others by creating games that simulate real life
experiences in order to possibly train for many jobs alike.
With needs changing around the world, the simple game on a computer or system will be
irrelevant, for one day virtual reality will take the gaming industry by storm shifting, the general
idea of how games are created, played, and designed in order to create worlds in which people
can experience life in ways never thought possible. The change in the industry will prove a
potential new era for people with technology. Although many people do not game, the general
idea for virtual reality is to create a new reality for the consumer. The virtual reality world of
gaming is yet to come but when it does the gaming industry will be bigger than it ever was
giving people chances of new life and adventure along with skill and excitement.
Gaming is a pastime among many people in the world whether it be those who plays games in
which the purchase and play on a console; or a person who plays games they buy on a computer;
even those who play games download onto their phone gaming is everywhere in society and it’s
an industry that has gone through much change and still has much change ahead of it to come
whether it be virtual reality or maybe real life simulation this industry will prosper for years to
come as long as there are people who enjoy experiencing something that will never truly exist in
the world.
Devious Programming has potential to be a part of this change. As a company, we have a chance
to change the world through our whether it be a gamer who has been a consumer of such
products most of their lives or someone who has never honestly played or picked up a game in
their life all due to the changes to come with the future. This industry could change daily life as
we know it from how a person plays a game to how people are trained to work; that’s what’s in
store for the future it’s possibly going to revolutionize technology in the hands of the beholder.
3
This industry has been seen for years as a teacher of violence to the young or an addiction among
those who dedicate themselves to play. That’s not what the gaming industry is, the gaming
industry is a way for gamers whether they are old or young, tall or small, or male and female to
intertwine; it connects people from all over that have the same interests in gaming. With many
different genres and themes the gaming industry is a bridge to unite people with others like them;
making them feel like they belong instead of making them feel left out from the rest of society.
This is the concept the gaming industry stands for; the reason we make the games we make are in
order to create a world in which others may belong and create a community which anyone may
belong in.

Devious Programming is a video game design company that creates video games that are played
purchased and downloaded from a computer.
Mission Statement: To ensure our games are enjoyable to all, while creating an experience
within our games that captures the breath of all playing.
Company Goals and Objectives: The goals of Devious Programming are to create a game that
will not only receive a rating of 10 from IGN but also that will be remembered throughout
generations. Objectives of Devious Programming are to release an outstanding game and make a
10% profit out of the game.
Business Philosophy: To create high quality games to guarantee satisfaction among all who

The main market of our products is gamers of ages that coincide with the level of complexity and
material in which make the games suitable or unsuitable for certain ages.
Devious Programming has been a dream of mine to create since I began learning to program.
The company itself is my way of leaving something that I made behind for the future. The
gaming community was the best to enter to leave a mark with all the advancements in the
industry and the amount of consumers leaving a trace wouldn’t be hard and best part the
company gets to spread enjoyment from the games we create around the world.
The video game industry or the interactive entertainment industry is involved with development,
marketing, and distribution of video games. The industry creates dozens of jobs and creates
millions of gamer consumers around the world. The interactive entertainment industry is in a
growth and in 2015 gaming market sales reached $91.95 billion and is expected to reach $100
billion in the year 2017. Devious Programming plans on taking advantage of this foreseen
growth throughout the industries to get a significant increase in profits.
Devious Programming’s most important strength as a company is our sense of teamwork; which
allows us to finish a game easily for we look at it from each other’s views from design to coding
we make sure we work together to pull out an outstanding game. Devious Programming’s core
competencies are to create games that make will a mark in the gaming world; we want the world
of gamers to enjoy every game we release.
Devious Programming will succeed due to our drive for success, our use of teamwork for
creation of games, and our drive to compete to the highest degree. Our greatest competitive
strength as a company is that we try and make games that have never been done, add features no
5
one else would think of, and make them different from what people are used to. Personally I
bring my skills as a programmer to the company along with a sense of leadership and my
experience in business management.
Legal form of ownership: Limited Liability Corporation (LLC). Devious Programming is a
Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) due to protection of assets, flexible management structure,
pass-through taxation on a business level, fewer restrictions on ownership, and limited
compliance requirements imposed by the state.
6
IV. Objectives of the Business
Mission Statement: We as a company have a passion to respect our customers with the
knowledge compiled from gamers around the world to create games that will be enjoyed
throughout years to come.
Vision Statement: As a company we have a devotion to create games for our players that will
revolutionize the ideas of gaming for years to come.
7
V. Proposed Business Strategies
Devious Programming’s has many short term goals as a company. One of our short term goals is
to release an upcoming game that is being designed. Others include creating an advertisement
plan in order to release our upcoming game into the market. Talking to fans in order to learn
what they are looking for and what people want within our product is another short term goal.
Devious Programming’s long range plan as a company is to create a different world of gaming
that will change the way games are played. This plan to create a new gaming world will take
years of hard programming and game creation and can be achieved within the years to come.
8
VI. Product(s) and/or Service(s) to be Provided
Devious Programming’s main products are video games. Our main form of game type are
science fiction based first person adventure games in which characters get to experience different
worlds never imagined inside of a game. Recently we are working on a first person adventure
game called Lab Rats, taking place inside a science lab that had recently undergone a tremendous
disaster in which the main character must maneuver from sub levels in order to reach the ground
floor.
Through his journey he fights many mutated creatures, scientist, and human experiments gone
wrong. While you maneuver through the multiple levels of floors and creatures there are hidden
puzzles to unlock twists in the story with research of the scientists to learn what they were
working on, to footage of the main character being experimented on. Featuring many in game
mechanics many fans will adore such as weapons customization, casual to rare item drops,
different fighting techniques based on weapons choice, and a mind shattering story. Along with
extreme boss fights that depending on how you take them out will make the reward much more
worth the fight. This game will be a hit in the market due to its well put story, challenging levels,
and diversity among creatures to fight. Lab Rats is unique for its different take on a science
fiction story line aligned with the twists the main character goes through making it different from
many different games on the market from other companies.

VIII. Marketing Analysis
Devious Programming markets games to be rated for male/female gamer teens to adults to the
age of thirty at the most. This is our main audience for our games due to the amount of gore
within our games in which should not be played by children under the age of fourteen and the
audience doesn’t go over the age of thirty due to that around that age most people no longer have
a want to play videogames. We also target this audience as our primary consumer due to the
ability to draw their interests within an action puzzle game that also challenges the player
depending on their skills to be able to use the features of the games to their advantage. Initially
our target audience had been adults above the age of eighteen due to the excess amount of gore
we had desired to add to the game for the initial design but changed plans to widen our range of
sales among ages.
Target customer is usually male with experience in gaming and enjoys challenging by playing
games that progress in enemy level as the games gradually continues on. Going for competitive
players is a vast majority of gamers usually of all age but the target customers also has a stomach
for gore and need of adventure in order to grasp the full concept of the game applies. Target
customer does not have to be the defined consumer any gamer is really desired to play game
product.
Devious Programming creates its games for the consumer based upon the knowledge we gather
from the different gamers of that age group that they have experienced from the different games
they have played. With these ideas we take all the points that have the most interest in them in
games such as key game mechanics, key player traits, and enemy and difficulty ideas, along with
environment concepts they look for inside of games. This helps us on a competitive level by
giving us an edge with players due to the features that they primarily look for inside of a game
that we add to our game based on the results of the research we gather in order to create more
sales.
Identifying customers is first done by researching certain topics, game mechanics, key player
traits, and enemy and difficulty. After this we proceed to determine which of the concepts to add
into the game to be able to identify the customers with the highest base in results out of the
research done. Identifying the customers then falls into place by placing the game concept
among those who we used to find research and those who look for games with the different
results that we added to the game in order to broaden the customer identification. Using the
research we gain in order to create the game we use in order to attract a large margin of
customers that were identified due to the same tactic. Attracting customers is also achieved with
the story of the game which immerses each player into a world that is seemingly new to the
13
individual in all experiences which attracts those who enjoy a new story inside the games that are
played by the individual.
Devious Programming runs online sales force automation for our game will mainly be played on
the computer. The distribution of the game is a download that the user will have to purchase
from our website or game library software the consumer will download. Pricing of products will
range depending on factors such as length, size, and cost of creation of game and will usually be
price between thirty to seventy dollars in overall price.
14
IX. Financial Analysis
With this business plan we will be requesting a loan of $10,000 in order to purchase better
software such as an editor in which programmers may use to help when creating game
products.
