What you’ll need:
• 1x 100g ball ‘Moda Vera’ One Ball One
Beanie (Quantities are approximate as they
vary between knitters)
• One pair 7.00mm (UK 2) knitting needles,
or size required to give correct tension.
• Wool needle.
Measurements
To Fit Head (approx) cm 56-59
TENSION
12 sts and 17 rows to 10cm over stocking
st, using 7.00mm needles.
To work a 15cm x 15cm tension square,
using 7.00mm needles cast on 18 sts.
Work 26 rows stocking st. Cast off loosely.
Check your tension carefully. If there are less
sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts
use bigger needles.

Using 6.50mm needles, cast on 69 (77) sts.
Work 3 rows rib.
1st row (RS) – K2, * P1, K1, rep from * to
last st, K1.
2nd row – K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.
Shape Crown –
1st row – Rib 5, * sl 1, K2tog, psso, rib 5,
rep from * to end … 53 (59) sts.
Work 3 rows rib.
5th row – Rib 5, * sl 1, K2tog, psso, rib 3,
rep from * to end … 37 (41) sts.
9th row – Rib 1, * sl 1, K2tog, psso, rib 1,
rep from * to end … 19 (21) sts.
Work 1 row rib.
Last 2 rows form rib.
11th row – Rib 1 (0), * sl 1, K2tog, psso, rep
from * to end … 7 sts.
Cont in rib until work measures 18cm from
Break off yarn leaving a long end.
