January 22nd 2013 Dear Parent, Each year at Northamptonshire FA, we run a leadership programme for 15-18 year old football leaders and we host a series of workshops in order to give them opportunities to work with young players and develop as coaches. Last year we ran a Goalkeeping workshop for our young leaders, this was extremely popular, hosted by our Chief Executive and ex Rushden and Diamonds and Peterborough United goalkeeper, Kevin Shoemake. This year, we are hosting a second Goalkeeping day on Thursday 14th February 2013 at Moulton Magpies FC, Brunting Road, Moulton, Northampton, NN3 7QF. In the morning Kevin will be leading the young leaders through a series of activities, but we want to develop their coaching skills and give them the opportunity to pass on their knowledge in the afternoon. We would like to invite your son or daughter along to Moulton FC from 1.30-4pm to take part in a series of goal keeping workshops and fun activities, delivered by our young leaders and overseen by Kevin and myself. There are not many Goalkeeping specific days for young players and we hope that this opportunity will be one that your son/daughter would like to take part in. Many of the young leaders are involved in coaching and assisting teams already and some help out with younger children at their school. The afternoon is free of charge, but players will need to bring their own drinks and any snacks for an afternoon break. All players will need shin pads and appropriate goalkeeping clothing. A change of clothes would be recommended because the very nature of the activity may mean the players will get muddy. If you would like to reserve a place for your daughter on this afternoon, please complete the attached form and return it to me at [email protected] or Kathryn Hall, NFA, 9 Duncan Close, Red House Square, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6WL by Thursday 7th February 2013. I have a maximum of 40 places. I hope that your child really enjoys the day and benefits from some extra training. I will confirm your place on receipt of your completed form. I look forward to hearing from you.
