Influential forces of patriots – the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, the Glendale Chamber of
Commerce, Arizona Coyotes Hockey, and Support Education & Employment for Vets (S.E.E.4Vets) have collaborated to launch an annual event at the Gila River Arena.
On Saturday, March 19, 2016, select veteran students and their guests who are enrolled in Maricopa
Community Colleges will be honored at the Arizona Coyotes- Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game at Gila
River Arena. This innovative event will honor these great young men and women for their service, but
also provide a unique opportunity for them to network and connect with business leaders throughout
the greater Phoenix metro area. The pre-game social will facilitate the networking opportunity for these
transitioning veterans. The collective audience will then be treated to an exciting hockey game between
the Coyotes and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The event is shaping up nicely, but the leadership at the Greater Phoenix Chamber and Glendale
Chamber respectfully asks for your support. Below are some of the specifics:
 The environment offers opportunities for both veteran students and employers to establish
early relationships and have career conversations.
 Attendance goals are (a) at least 30 employers and (b) 75 veteran students plus their guests.
 Employers with immediate job openings could identify needed talent during the networking
portion and invite prospective veterans to the company for further consideration.
Your $300 investment (per employer) makes it possible to provide food, non-alcoholic beverages,
paid parking and game tickets to these select student veterans and their guests. Your company
representative participating in the networking event is also welcome and encouraged to attend the
hockey game with our honored guests.
With less than 1% of our population serving our Nation since the terrorists’ attacks of September 11,
2001, these young men and women are indeed an elite segment of our nation. They have earned our
support and assistance as they transition back to the civilian workforce after their service … this event
is dedicated to helping pave that pathway for them.
With warmest regards,
